" You deserve to be healthy and happy "
On the back of these, we rush out and buy supplements and start on the latest diet, hoping to be more energetic, thinner, avoid the flu etc. But these articles can be confusing. It is hard to understand how these nutrients work, who they work for and how much should be taken. Without proper nutritional advice, attempts at changing eating patterns can be short lived and money can be wasted on poor quality supplements that do not live up to their claims.
Why we eat what we eat:
Have you ever really stopped to think about why you eat what you do? Research has shown that we make well over 200 decisions about food every day1 but how many times do we just eat because we are hungry? We often choose foods based on emotions, family or friends, packaging, smells, habits, distractions, events etc etc...
During your nutritional consultation we will help you understand why you eat what you do. Only when we have done this can we start to change the way you eat and help you feel healthier and happier for life.
Understanding food and how it affects you:
Nutritional therapy is based on a scientific understanding of how the nutrients within foods work within your body. This understanding allows personalised nutritional programs to be devised which help patients achieve optimum health, peak performance and prevent disease.
Nutritional therapists recognise that all parts of the body are interconnected so an imbalance in one part can affect the functioning of the whole. We use an indepth consultation and often additional testing to determine why symptoms are presented and then treat the root cause.
We will always treat the individual, understanding that people can share the same symptoms but the cause of these can be very different. Similarly, with weight loss, people gain weight for different reasons so it makes sense that they will loose it in different ways. Each of our weight loss clients have an individual plan which takes into account their lifestyle, their body and their food preferences.

Sound nutritional advice can support many other conditions, for example, skin conditions, allergies, immune disorders, cardiovascular disease and protecting the body against the impact of stress.
How does it work?
